AUGUSTA, Maine (WGAN) Maine’s Center for Disease Control says all 7 employees at the state’s Emergency Operations Center who were showing symptoms of Covid-19 have tested negative.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Augusta facility remained empty Friday, with employees all working remotely. Plans to deep clean affected areas of the building are still underway.

Three employees from MEMA, two National Guard members and two employees from the state CDC called out sick Thursday with Covid-19 symptoms.

As a result of operating virtually, the Maine CDC’s daily briefings have been held over Zoom.
