Man Accused in Girlfriend’s Death Appears in Court

CLIFTON, Maine (AP) A Maine man charged in the killing of his girlfriend appearing in court Wednesday for arraignment.

Maine State Police say they charged 37-year-old Dwight Osgood Jr. with murder Tuesday in the death of 35-year-old Kary Dill.

Dill was found shot to death in the couple’s home in Clifton Monday morning. Osgood was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Her body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta for an autopsy that began later Monday.

Osgood is being held at the Penobscot County Jail. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
