Two people died in a Saturday morning house fire in the town of Orrington, Maine. Authorities say the bodies of a man and woman were found in the rubble.

The Fire Marshal’s Office says three other people escaped the fire that was reported around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officials say the fire appears to have started in a first floor bedroom and spread quickly, destroying the home. The Maine Department of Public Safety says the three survivors suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation.
