Man Arrested for Selling Drugs in Overdose Death


WILTON, Maine (WGAN)  The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a Wilton man has been arrested on drug charges after an overdose death.

Police say they responded to a report of an unattended death in Wyman Township on Sunday.  Police say it was reported that a local man had overdosed.

The sheriff’s office, State Police and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency all investigated.  Police say eventually, that investigation led to a likely suspect of who sold the drugs.

Wednesday, detectives searched the home of 55-year-old Dennis Ayala in Wilton.  As a result, he was arrested on aggravated trafficking and taken to jail.

Police say their investigation is still ongoing.
