An Augusta man who was found not guilty of murder in the killing of a Richmond man will still serve time behind bars.

The Maine Attorney General’s Office says Tyon Shuron was found not guilty Wednesday in the death of 48-year-old Andrew Sherman. Sherman was found dead at his home in October of 2019.

Shuron was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months behind bars, including time already served, for tampering with a witness.
