FREEMAN TOWNSHIP, Maine (AP) – Police say a man has died in a motorcycle crash.

The Sun Journal reports that 56-year-old Flint York was traveling northbound Saturday afternoon when he failed to negotiate a corner and ran off the side of West Freeman Road.

Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols in a news release says that York died at the scene of the crash from his injuries. Nichols says York was not wearing a helmet.

Nichols says York’s wife was traveling ahead of him at the time of the crash.
