Man faces reckless driving charge for striking bicyclist in Lewiston

A man who police say fell asleep at the wheel before striking a bicyclist in Lewiston has been charged.

Lewiston police say Ernest Owusu went off the road Monday evening on Lisbon Street and hit a utility pole before he drove on to the sidewalk and hit the bicyclist.

The bicyclist suffered a minor head injury and a possible broken hand.

Owusu was charged with aggravated reckless driving.
