A Maine man is accused of posing as a police officer to enter two schools in Jay.

In an email to parents, the superintendent of RSU 73 said the man gained access to Spruce Mountain Middle School last Thursday when a student was leaving, and coaxed a student to allow him through a back door at the high school.

According to the Sun Journal, the man was identified as 41-year-old Yeshua-Selaa Belanger of North Jay, who was charged with impersonating a public servant, disorderly conduct, and trespass.

The paper writes that he was released on $500 bail the same day he was arrested.
