Man hospitalized after Portland stabbing

One man was taken to the hospital, and another was arrested after a stabbing in Portland’s Monument Square.

Police said the man who was stabbed suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

His identity was not immediately released.

Police found the man injured after they responded to reports of a fight in the square around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police arrested Nathaniel Fitzpatrick, 36, of Portland and charged him with aggravated assault.

The incident is still under investigation.
