Man Killed in Alton Altercation

ALTON, Maine (AP) Police say an altercation at a home in Maine has left one man dead.

First responders were called to the scene in Alton Saturday night and found 51-year-old Joseph Webber.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland says an autopsy is scheduled to determine the man’s cause of death.

No charges have been filed.

An investigation into Webber’s death is ongoing.
