AUBURN, Maine (AP) A Maine man is expected to serve three years in prison for a two-vehicle crash that killed a 54-year-old man last year.

The Sun Journal reports that 24-year-old Christian Parlin, of Livermore, had received a suspended 10-year sentence for manslaughter. Prosecutors dismissed a charge of aggravated criminal operating under the influence.

Investigators say Parlin caused the crash on Route 4 in Turner that killed William Rodgers, of Jay.

Assistant District Attorney Patricia Mador said Parlin’s blood-alcohol level of 0.16 percent was twice the legal limit.

Parlin declined to address the court.

The prison term will be followed by three years’ probation, including a substance abuse evaluation and random drug and alcohol testing.
