Man who suffered serious injuries in Hermon crash dies in hospital

One of two men injured in a crash on Route 2 in Hermon has died of his injuries.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says a pickup truck driven by 76-year-old Jeffrey Reutter of Stetson crossed the centerline Monday afternoon, striking a Versant Power truck driven by 43-year-old Adam Powers.

Powers was hospitalized after the crash with non-life threatening injuries.

Reutter died on Thursday at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
