Maryland Police have arrested an employee at a senior living facility who’s accused in the fatal shooting earlier this month of Maine philanthropist Robert Fuller Jr.

Maryland police said Wednesday they arrested 22-year-old Maurquise Emillo James in connection with the death of the 87-year-old, who was living at the facility.

Police say James was also charged for shooting at a Maryland state trooper during a traffic stop on Tuesday.

Investigators said the shell casings from that shooting matched the ones found at the scene of Fuller’s killing.

The motive behind the killing remains unclear.

Fuller donated $1.6 million to upgrade a high school athletic field in Maine, and was the descendant of Supreme Court Chief Justice Melvin Fuller.
