Mass. Woman Charged Following Crash

WATERBORO, Maine (WGAN)  A Massachusetts woman is facing charges after an accident in Waterboro.

The York County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a crash on Crescent Drive around 9:45 Wednesday morning.

Police say 30-year-old Jacquelyn Griffin was leaving a lake house on Lake Arrowhead when the Chevrolet Suburban she was driving left the roadway and hit a tree.

Police say the Plainsville, Mass. woman was with her two children.  One of them was injured in the crash and had to go to the hospital.  Police say it appears the child was not restrained in a car seat.

Griffin was charged with aggravated driving to endanger.  Griffin has a court date in September.

The condition of the child was unknown, but police say the injuries were not life threatening.
