Mercy Hospital in Portland is preparing to move to a new location.

According to the Portland Press Herald, Mercy Hospital will be relocating its patients and staff to a new facility on the Fore River Parkway. The move is scheduled to happen by Jan. 4.

Hospital officials say the new facility will offer 77 beds, including six for patient observation.

Currently, the hospital is located on State Street in Portland, where it has operated since 1918.
