Milford Man Being Held on Sexual Assault Charges

HOLDEN, Maine (WGAN) State Police say a Milford man is in jail on sexual assault charges.

53-year-old Craig Thorne was arrested Thursday following an investigation which resulted in multiple counts of Gross Sexual Assault, police say. He was arrested after his vehicle was stopped along Route 1A in Holden by troopers.

Thorne was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remains being held in lieu of bail.

Police are not releasing any information about the victim.
