Milo man sentenced for beating death of 1-month-old son

A Maine man will spend 25 years behind bars for the killing of his infant son.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, Reginald Melvin of Milo pleaded guilty to domestic violence manslaughter on Thursday. He was charged in connection with the death of his 1-month-old son, Sylus Melvin, in August of 2021.

Court documents show the infant was beaten to death.

Reginald Melvin was sentenced to 30 years with all but 25 suspended, as well as conditional probation for six years.
