A missing Pennsylvania man has been found safe in Maine, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Thomas Hackett, 29, was last seen Thursday in Pennsylvania, then his vehicle turned up at a vacant residence in Owls Head.

Divers searched the water off Owls Head over the weekend after investigators found footprints leading toward the water.

The sheriff’s office released no additional information Monday, but said they were still speaking with Hackett to learn more about his disappearance.

Family members had told police Hackett was upset about recent events involving his family, and they feared for his safety.
