Motorcyclist dies after head-on crash in York

A head-on crash in York Saturday afternoon left one motorcyclist dead and another driver in the hospital.

According to our info partners at CBS 13, the crash happened on Route 1 at the intersection of Logging Road around 4:15 p.m.

A sedan was involved in the crash with the motorcycle, according to York Police. Both drivers were transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

The operator of the motorcycle, 57-year-old Brian Aromando of Oguinquit, later died at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, according to police.

The Maine Warden Service was requested to reconstruct the crash. York Police Department and the Maine Wardens Service are still investigating the crash. York PD requests anyone who may have witnessed the crash to please contact detective Jamie Robie.
