Waterboro Man Arrested, Accused of Dragging Landowner with ATV

Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife

A 21-year-old Waterboro man faces felony assault charges after being accused of dragging a landowner with his ATV in Limington.

Wardens say they arrested Devin Lafrance Tuesday night after the incident last week in which the landowner had stopped the ATV for riding dangerously on his property.

They say the landowner was trying to photograph the ATV and its registration when the ATV hit the landowner and dragged him 75 feet before getting away.

The landowner suffered minor injuries, while Lafrance now faces several charges.

Lafrance is charged with aggravated assault (Class B), reckless operation of ATV (Class D), and failing to stop and identify for landowner (Class E). Lafrance was transported to York County Jail where he was booked and later released.
