New charges have been made against the man accused of killing four people in Bowdoin and going on a shooting spree along the I-295 that injured three.

According to the Portland Press Herald, the 11 new charges are related to the shooting spree along the interstate and accuse 34-year-old Joseph Eaton of attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault with the use of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

After allegedly shooting and killing his parents and their friends in Bowdoin on April 17th, police say Eaton went on a shooting spree the following morning. Eaton is accused of shooting at six people, injuring three of them, on the I-295 near Yarmouth.

Eaton was already facing four murder charges for the shooting of parents Cynthia and David Eaton, and family friends Bob and Patti Eger.

All three victims in the highway shootings are expected to recover. CBS 13 reports however, that it is uncertain if Paige Halsey, who was critically injured, will make a full recovery.
