A 23-year-old New Hampshire man is in the York County Jail after being accused of stabbing a person early Thursday morning in Berwick.

Berwick Police say a report of a fight in the street on Pine Hill Road was followed by a call from a neighbor of a person with a stab wound to their neck at the front door. They say the incident was captured on video by a witness.

Officers say the 19-year-old stabbing victim was taken to a hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, where they were treated.

They say the suspect fled the scene in a car with another person.

Police say they identified the suspect as 23-year-old Ethan Samuel Saint-Val of Rochester, New Hampshire. Officers say the Rochester Police Department contacted a family member and encouraged them to turn Saint-Val in to the Berwick Police.
At approximately 2:15 pm Thursday, Saint-Val turned himself in at the Berwick Police Department. He was booked, transported to a hospital for medical treatment, and then released to jail.

Saint-Val is being held without bail until he is arraigned, Monday. He’s charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault.
