A false 9-1-1 call in Washington County led to the arrest of a New York man on drug and gun charges.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says a call came in around 8 p.m. Wednesday from a man at a home on East Side Road in Addison. He told dispatchers shots were being fired and people were trying to hurt him.

Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the man, identified as 40-year-old Andres Rivera. They became concerned about a woman inside the home who was unresponsive. She was given Narcan and hospitalized.

Deputies found two loaded handguns, fentanyl and crack cocaine after getting a search warrant for the home.

Rivera was charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and filing a false public report.
