No injuries after crash leaves car on wires in York County

A crash in East Waterboro ended with a vehicle resting against guard wires near a telephone pole.

Authorities said the crash happened late Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Route 5 and Route 202, in front of the Aroma Joe’s.

Police said the 70-year-old driver fell asleep at the wheel, then left the roadway and went up on to the wires.

There were no injuries.
