LIMINGTON, Maine (WGAN) Police say there were no injuries after a tractor-trailer struck a school bus in Limington on Monday morning.

York County Sheriff William King says officers responded to the intersection of Cape Road, or Route 117, and Gammon Road around 7 a.m. on Monday. The bus was carrying Bonny Eagle middle and high school students. The bus driver, 61-year-old Michelle Alward, had stopped to pick up a student who was running to catch the bus when the truck hit the left side mirror of the bus.

Students were transferred to another bus and made it to school on time.

An investigation is ongoing.
