No One Hurt After Crash in Cornish

CORNISH, Maine (WGAN)  No injuries after a crash Tuesday morning in Cornish.

The York County Sheriff’s Office says around 7:15 a.m., they responded to a single vehicle crash on Maple Street.  When deputies arrived, they determined that 22-year-old Allen Lewis was driving east on Maple Street when his car left the road.  Lewis’ car then hit a utility pole and careened off, hitting a tree.  The impact caused the utility pole to break in half.

The sheriff’s office says power was disrupted in the area during the morning commute as Central Maine Power crews replaced the police.

Police say Lewis, who works the overnight shift at a warehouse, was on his way home when the crash happened.  He was not injured.

Police say fatigue is a casual factor to the crash.
