No one hurt after truck explodes outside Blaine House

Dispatchers in Augusta confirmed that a truck exploded near the Blaine House Thursday afternoon.

According to the Portland Press Herald, a pickup truck parked next to the governor’s mansion went up in flames around 2:30 p.m. No injuries were reported and the fire was quickly put out.

By 3 p.m. Augusta police said the scene was being cleared.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
