No threat found after Windham elementary school placed under heightened security

A secure status was briefly put in place at a Windham elementary school after a report of a suspicious person in a nearby neighborhood Tuesday morning.

The suspicious person was reported in one of the neighborhoods near Manchester Elementary School.

The superintendent said the person was found to be an employee of a local business and did not make any threats or have a weapon.

The secure status was lifted before noon.
