No Town Hall Meetings for Golden

Rep. Jared Golden - D

U.S. Rep. Jarden Golden says he won’t be holding any town hall meetings because of special interest groups.

According to the Portland Press Herald, a public event Golden attended last month at Colby College, had protesters from the group Indivisible gathered with negative signs against the congressman.

Sarah Dohl, Indivisible’s chief campaigns officer, says Golden’s allegations that the group is using “dark money” are unfounded.

The group has been behind many protests across the country since President Trump was re-elected including the Hands Off protest that had thousands come out in Portland on April 5th.
