North Carolina Woman Arrested in Connection with Fatal Millinocket Shooting

AUGUSTA, Maine (WGAN) Maine State Police say a North Carolina woman is under arrest for the shooting death of a Millinocket man.

21-year-old Alexis Locklear was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Service in Maxton, North Carolina on Thursday morning. She was indicted by the Penobscot County Grand Jury on Wednesday for murder and robbery.

Wayne Lapierre was killed in a shooting at his home in Millinocket on December 19th.

Police say Locklear’s father, Tony Locklear, and boyfriend, Christopher Murray, were also indicted on Wednesday.

They say Tony Locklear remains at large while Murray was arrested and brought back to Maine in late December.
