Old Town man identified as victim in deadly Bangor crash

Bangor police have released the name of the man who died in a wreck on Valley Ave. Sunday morning.

The driver and loan occupant of the vehicle that crashed has been identified as Donald Ketchen, 79, of Old Town.

In a press release Monday morning, police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police had said that the man’s vehicle suffered “catastrophic damage” when it left the road, went down an embankment and crashed.

The crash is still under investigation and the cause of the wreck has not been released.

The press release provided no further information about the crash.
