One dead following shooting in Vassalboro

VASSALBORO (WGME)—A man is dead following a shooting at an apartment building in Vassalboro this morning. A second person in the apartment has been hospitalized and a third person there was unhurt.

Maine State Police got a call about a disturbance and gunshots at the building at 513 Main St. around 9am this morning. They remain on the scene collecting evidence.

No one is in custody at this point but State Police say there is no threat to the public. We have a crew on the scene gathering additional information.
