One Killed in Baldwin Crash


BALDWIN, Maine (WGAN)  Police say one person has died after an accident in Baldwin.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says it happened on Route 113, or Pequawket Trail in Baldin near the Standish Town Line around 11:25 a.m. Monday.

Police say the motorcyclist, 42-year-old Morris Watson, Jr., was traveling west and following too closely to a car in front of it.  As the car slowed to turn, the motorcyclist clipped the car and careened into east bound lane in front of a Ford F-350 Service Truck.

Police say Watson was killed in the crash.  He was not wearing a helmet.

Police identified the driver of the car Watson initially hit as 21-year-old Javon Weathers.

Police identified 37-year-old Joshua Bowe as the driver of the Ford which was owned by Nestle Waters of North America

The crash is under investigation.
