One Killed in Raymond Crash

RAYMOND, Maine (WGAN)  The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says a Raymond woman has died after a crash Monday morning.

Police say around 8:40 a.m., 30-year-old Javiera Araya Arriagada was  driving north on Cape Road when she started drifting to the right.

Police say she over-corrected her vehicle, causing her to go across the center line and into the path of a Ford F-550 towing a trailer.

Police say life-saving measures were attempted on Araya Arriagada, but were unsuccessful.

The river of the truck, 70-year-old Franklin Everett, wasn’t hurt.  Neither was a passenger he had.

The sheriff’s office says state police have joined them in the ongoing investigation.
