One person dies in tent fire at Bangor homeless encampment

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fatal tent fire in Bangor.

Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says the fire was reported around 9:15 p.m. Sunday inside of a tent at a homeless encampment 49 Cleaveland Street.

An adult male was found dead inside.

The body was brought to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine identity and cause of death.

No other details have been released.
