One of the five people in a deadly Portland house fire on Olympia Street last Thursday remains in critical condition.

One person died in the fire that completely destroyed the home while four people were taken to a hospital with injuries.

The Press Herald reports the state Department of Public Safety is confirming two were released from the hospital Thursday and another was released Friday, while one person remains in critical condition.

According to the Press Herald, the fire marshal’s office won’t release any more information until the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner concludes its investigation, which includes identifying the dead person from the fire.

Firefighters arrived on the scene of the fire at about 1 am Thursday and spent three hours battling the three-alarm blaze.
