Otisfield teen dies in Naples crash

An Otisfield teen is dead after a pair of crashes in Naples Sunday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded around 1:30 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Routes 302 and 35.

According to CBS 13, the sheriff’s office says Ethan Gardner, 19, struck the back of a vehicle that had stopped at a traffic light.

Gardner reportedly fled the scene before police arrived, and according to witnesses, he traveled north on Route 35 towards Harrison.

The sheriff’s office says his vehicle was found a short distance away after it left the road and struck a tree.

Gardner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say he was driving with a suspended license.

The incident remains under investigation.
