Outdoor Portland Farmers’ Market Starts Saturday

The first outdoor day of the year for the Portland Farmers’ Market is Saturday in Deering  Oaks Park.

The market runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays through the end of November.

There are typically up to 30 vendors on Saturday and up to 20 vendors on Wednesday.

The hours for the outdoor market are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Farmers’ Market showcases Maine farmers and food producers and allows shopping with SNAP/EBT benefits, the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

Double SNAP spending is offered with Maine Harvest Bucks through the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets.

The Portland Farmers’ Market runs during winter months at Stevens Square Community Center.
