Maine Democratic Congresswoman Chellie Pingree calling the removal of Kristi Noem as head of DHS “long overdue.”

Shortly after Thursday’s announcement from the President, Pingree called the now former secretary’s tenure “one of the most reckless, corrupt and disgraceful chapters in the department’s history.”

Pingree said DHS became a political weapon under Noem.

She also called for the removal of Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller, who she says is the architect behind President Trump’s immigration policy.

President Trump said Noem served the administration well and brought spectacular results.
