Oxford Officially Has a New Police Chief

A new police chief has been named in Oxford.

The Portland Press Herald reports Michael Ward was named permanent police chief Thursday night at the Board of Selectmen meeting.

Ward was formerly the Interim Police Chief and lieutenant of the department. He replaces Jon Tibbetts who stepped down March 29.
