A home in Standish was seriously damaged after two fires within 24 hours.

Crews responded to a smaller fire Wednesday night at the home on River Meadows Drive in Steep Falls, which is a village in Standish.

A second fire Thursday morning was contained within about an hour but destroyed a garage, where it appeared to originate.

The cause is under investigation and it’s not yet clear if the two fires are connected.

There were no injuries reported.
