WESTBROOK, Maine (WGAN) Westbrook Police and agents with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency say they seized drugs and guns from two Massachusetts men.

Shannon Moss with the Maine Department of Public Safety says 21-year-old Corey Armstrong and 19-year-old Jared Smith were taken into custody following a traffic stop in Westbrook Sunday evening.

The arrests were part of an investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine in Westbrook.

Officers seized about seven ounces of crack cocaine from their vehicle with an estimated street value of about $14,000. They said they also found two loaded handguns, drug trafficking materials and $1,300 in suspected drug proceeds.

Smith and Armstrong were arrested without incident and taken to Cumberland County Jail with bail set at $20,000 each.
