Pair sought after police attempt to recover stolen vehicle in Waterville

Police are searching for a Maine man accused of assaulting an officer in Waterville and then driving off in a stolen vehicle.

Police say Ricki Gould was seen standing near a stolen pickup at a Circle K early Saturday morning. When an officer approached, Gould allegedly assaulted them before driving away. The officer was treated for their injuries at a hospital and released.

The truck was later found abandoned in Fairfield.

Police say Gould and a woman who was seen inside the truck stole another vehicle Tuesday morning in St. Albans. The pair are considered armed and dangerous.

Gould is white with red hair. He’s about 6 feet tall weighing 200 pounds. Police say he is a transient, but most recently lived in Corinna.
