UPDATE:

A 43-year-old homeless man has non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle on the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Auburn Monday.

Police say the man was attempting to cross multiple lanes of traffic outside of a marked cross walk when he was hit by a minivan driven by 40-year-old Theresa Hutchinson of Lewiston.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment, while police say charges are not anticipated against Huchinson.

Officers say she was driving a gold 2012 Town and Country van westbound towards Mt. Auburn Avenue on the bridge and did not see the man and struck him.

The man was treated on scene by Auburn Fire and Rescue and transported to CMMC with non-life-threatening injuries. Although this crash remains under investigation, currently there are no charges anticipated.

A section of the bridge was closed for an hour and a half while the crash was being investigated
