A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in Cumberland.

Police say the pedestrian was struck by the vehicle around 7 p.m. Wednesday on Blackstrap Road.

The victim was taken to the hospital, and the road was closed for about three hours while investigators reconstructed the accident.
