Pedestrian-involved crash leaves Winthrop woman dead

WINTHROP, Maine (WGAN) A Winthrop woman has died after she was hit by a pickup truck while walking along Route 202.

According to CBS 13 news, police said the accident happened around 7:41 p.m. near the Winthrop-Monmouth town line. The victim, 58-year-old Donna Driscoll of Winthrop, died at the scene.

Police said the driver, 37-year-old Nathaniel Stewart, was cooperating with the investigation, which is still ongoing.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact Winthrop police.
