HERMON, Maine (AP) Vice President Mike Pence used an appearance in Maine to tout Republican politicians in the state and boast about the federal government’s support for lobster fishermen.

Pence held a Monday rally in Hermon, which is in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.

The district is in play for Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic former Vice President Joe Biden, and it awards its own electoral vote.

Pence appeared on stage with Republican congressional candidate Dale Crafts, who is challenging Democratic incumbent Rep. Jared Golden.

He also voiced support for former Republican Gov. Paul LePage, a Trump ally who has signaled that he might run for governor again.
