BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) Prosecutors say they could reach a plea deal with a New Hampshire woman who’s charged with murder stemming from a crash that killed a neighbor and seriously injured another.

Police arrested 38-year-old Catrina Costello of Seabrook last year on a charge of fatally striking 64-year-old Stephen VanDalinda and also hitting his wife, 61-year-old Erin. The Portsmouth Herald reports recent court documents say prosecutors are negotiating with Costello’s attorneys.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Geoffrey Ward wrote prosecutors “reasonable anticipate that an agreement will be reached.” Costello is being held without bail. She lived next to the VanDalindas, who had acquired a stalking order of protection against her before the crash.

A call to the jail was not returned. The jail’s records about Costello say only that she’s being held without bail.
