Poland Community School Set to Partially Reopen After Flooding

Drywall Project - Poland Community School - RSU 16

The Poland Community School is expected to partially reopen on Monday, after a drywall inspection.

RSU 16 says classes will only take place in the single-story section of the building because of flooding, which began on the second floor last week.

The school district says the building has to pass an inspection in the morning to reopen.
They’re asking parents to prepare for a regular school day, a 1-2-hour delay, or no school after the inspection.
It was only last Thursday when the district announced it was reimagining learning for the next several weeks for students at Poland Community School.
“Our team has worked incredibly hard, putting in long hours to make sure spaces are ready,” the district said in a social media post. “We’re so grateful for their efforts.”
