GLENBURN, Maine (WGAN) Four people who caused a standoff with police in Penobscot County were taken into custody peacefully.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says it received a 911 call from a woman on Cressy Avenue in Glenburn around 6:30 Tuesday morning. The woman said her 17-year-old grandson and three other people were smashing items and threatening her with a firearm. The woman was able to escape the home.

The four refused to cooperate once officers arrived, according to police, leading to a brief standoff. They eventually came out of the residence.

The 17-year-old and a 15-year-old were arrested. Also taken into custody were 19-year-old Isaiah Delosa of Glenburn and 18-year-old Kayla Spain of Brewer.

The investigation is ongoing.
